Inspired by the writing of the author’s father, Little Bay is based on Silverstrand Beach in Clear Water Bay. Before the surrounding areas of Tseung Kwan O and Hang Hau were developed, the beach saw little foot traffic. It represents for the author, and many who grew up in that area, a place of generational memories.

About Author
Lynette Nam’s love for the written word was born in a sunlit study where, as a young child, she read Chinese poetry with her grandmother. Her poetry has been published in Poems by Young Australians Vol 2 (Random House Australia) and the Poet’s Voice (Arrow Publishing). Her story To Eat a Daisy won the junior section of the South China Morning Post Short Story Competition. Her life’s journey has taken her across the Asia Pacific, where she has worked for over a decade with people displaced by war and persecution.
